A single small mat is the right start for one shop door. It is the wrong start for a showroom where customers enter side by side. Measure the walking path, not only the door leaf. Entrance mat sizing covers that measurement.
Compact shop doors
Small shops and street-facing counters usually need one mat at the door. Smart Plain and Smart Welcome are PVC coil mats in 38×58, 40×60, and 45×75 cm. Both are 10 mm. Use them when the doorway is compact and the floor inside should stay presentable during a sale or festival week.

Showrooms and mall stores often have a wider opening and a polished floor just inside. One 40×60 cm mat will not cover the path customers actually walk.

Festival footfall and cleaning
Heavier walk-in traffic fills a mat faster. It does not call for a different cleaning system. Keep a spare cut of the same family. Lift the dirty mat, hose it, stand it to dry, and put the spare on the floor so the doorway is never bare. That is lift, hose, dry, rotate — work the shop already does.

What not to do
